If you’re like me, anytime you can get out the smoker and cook is a good time. Just don’t forget the old adage: “Work smarter, not harder.” Even while you are creating your next BBQ masterpiece, there is always room to work smarter. I’d like to share a few items that I have found useful!
Stainless Steel Smoking Pucks!?
On a recent outing I found these cool items. If you smoke pork – or any other meat – I don’t think you can go wrong with these smoking pucks. It sure beats wrapping wood up in foil and poking holes in it! Used once or twice already and I like. I plan on keeping this in my aresenal.

Light My Fire…
Talk about smarter, not harder. I have used both of these to light my fire and they both have worked out flawlessly. Even with high wind blowing around they keep things burning. Lighting them is easy and quick. The cost is minimal and I consider them staples now.

Short post…but to the point. These are just a few items that I have no problem recommending that you use while you discover all things BBQ. Sometimes the little things that you can put into practice are real timesavers that allow you to spend more time with the people that matter!
